Jesus Racing has teamed up with leading Evans Waterless Engine Coolants in a deal that will see the team’s iconic XY GTHO run the Evans High Performance waterless engine coolant starting at next weekend Phillip Island event.
With a new engine that is producing even more horsepower, the team knew they had to do what they can to protect the engine and get the most performance possible.
The teams lead mechanic Marc Waddell is very excited about the new partnership and said, “There is a saying in life if it seems to good to be true then it probably is and at first I thought that would be the case regarding the claims of the Evans Waterless Coolant but we had to try something as we were experiencing overheating issues in the Jesus Racing XY GT that we compete with in the Touring Car Masters Series.
When racing at Darwin and Adelaide the temperatures can be extreme and we needed a product that could provide an edge, the results have been fantastic and we have found the claims of Evans to be correct in every way. As Evans claims, the temperature only dropped slightly but the big gain was in the complete heat transfer from the engine right through to the radiator with this staying consistent and having no hot spots or vapor locks. We are very happy with the results.”
The team is looking forward to putting the coolant to good use on track when they hit the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit next weekend for the final round of the Touring Car Masters Championship.
